Price is decent, and supposed "stock" options are nice. But they have horrible customer service. They keep selling out of items that were pre-ordered, and not notifying customers until after they arrive to pick it up (no calls/text/email). I've been sold mislabeled products (was supposed to be "whole flower", but was micro-buds (pea-size buds), sold at full price! I was also sold an OZ of expensive stuff that wasn't trimmed much, resulting in a couple grams of straight up whole leaves, there was even loose stems in it. I reached out to the company, and they just ignore me. The one time they did respond, I was offered a measly 10% off coupon, which they didn't even end up honoring! Absolutely horrible customer service. I'm going to start going back to Ascend Dispensary. They are hair more expensive, but I've had zero issues with them. Avoid AYR!!!!

I have shopped for flower at the AYR Boylston St. shop quite a few times. Overall I have been very favorable re. both the staff and product. That was until yesterday. My bad for not asking about the various dates for the flower product I purchased (the only meaningful date is the "harvest date" which is often absent; "testing" and "packaging" dates are rather vague). I bought three different flower strains. Two strains were tested in either October or November!--who knows the kill date as it was not available--hey CCC: why not make harvest date a label requirement?. The third strain was harvested March 29 or almost EIGHT MONTHS ago (what was this batch doing in the meantime before I bought it??). This strain had the lowest THCA: 17.82%, but that was A/O May 2 TEST DATE! Given weed potency DECREASES over time, who knows how "potent" it currently is. I won't know, since I discarded the two quarter ounces before even trying the bud. (When I shook the container, it sounded as if pebbles were inside. When I opened the NON SAFETY SEALED top, I found incredibly unappealing DRY small buds).
Conclusion: while AYR offers a friendly shopping atmosphere with (usually) plenty of product to choose from, if PRODUCT FRESHNESS is important to you, definitely inquire about the dates of flower you are considering purchasing so that you won't make the same costly mistake as I did.

Did a pre order online and was already happy with what I was getting but when I arrived was told of the amazing promo they were offering on build your own Oz for a few bucks more and get the best quality available. I asked the Budtender if I could go with that option instead of what I was getting and he had no prob with me swapping out what I originally was going to get for top of the line for a little more. That was above and beyond customer service and made me feel appreciated and extremely satisfied. Will definitely be returning and recommending to everyone for sure. Awesome shop, even better customer service, and a great & relaxed atmosphere.
